Oh boy! We have some fun news!

Oh boy do we have a fun secret to share with you!

For the past three months, I’ve been growing a human! We found out after Thanksgiving and surprised our family with the news on Christmas. I made little bird house ornaments that said, “Baby Bird due August 2018!”

Their celebration made our Christmas so sweet and memorable.

We are due around the first week of August and I am grateful to say that I’ve had a wonderful pregnancy so far, though around 7:45PM, I’m ready to sleep for the next 12 hours. I’ve gotten sick twice, but one was solely from Rigby having an accident on the floor and I couldn’t stomach the smell. Michael wasn’t thrilled about that one and I’m not sure he believes pregnancy nose and heightened sense of smell being a real thing. It is. I’m now in my second trimester and ready for the new energy I hear should be coming.

A couple of weeks ago, I went in for another ultrasound and opted to do the blood work for genetic testing. Last Tuesday night, we found out that we are having a little boy!

I was SHOCKED the nurse said boy (and still am, truthfully!) but am starting to imagine a mini-Michael with Sperry’s, button-up shirts, and little puffy vests. Not to mention the dumbbell rattle I already bought!

We are so excited to step into a new calling of parenthood and could not be more blessed for this next adventure!
