Another year in the books and 2017 was a good year! Michael and I traveled to the other side of the world to Thailand & China. We rode on an elephant, I was a celebrity in China, and Michael ate a rat. I entered into my 30th year of life…”30, flirty, and thriving!” We added to our family with little Rigby, who is now not so little but 50+lbs (and growing) of sweetness. I cruised to the Caribbean with my mom for a week- what a special time with her! (I’m still dreaming about the Truffle Lobster Sushi Roll!) I entered my second year at my job and from August to November, there was never any downtime. I went silent in the blog-world and called it “Paw-ternity Leave.” I’ve also been at the studio teaching 3 to 4 days a week and that’s kept me busy until 7pm every night. Thanksgiving brought a refreshing break as we traveled to Asheville, NC and then to Richmond. December was great and Christmas break was extra long with some snow days. Spending times with our families over Christmas was very special and memorable! Overall, we’ve enjoyed our time in Old Town, Alexandria and D.C. four miles away. We (too often) take advantage of the awesome restaurants, breweries, and entertainment around us- but hey, why not? We are grateful for all of our blessings and anticipate 2018 to be even better!
