Balance.

Galatians 5: 22-23  The Message: But what happens when we live God’s way? [The Creator] brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.

I keep going back to this verse…and back again. I find it so refreshing! Living in God beckons love for others, passion for life, & peace. Living in God gives us endurance, the ability to suffer with others, and new eyes that see everything and everyone is sacred. Living in God produces longevity in responsibilities and relationships, trust that we do not need to manipulate our lives, and wisdom to put  our time and energy where they should be put. This verse, for me, is the epitome of balance. It’s about our relationship with God, our relationship with others, and our relationship with self. I can’t help but recognize the breath of freedom that this verse exhales. Do you sense it too?
Happy Friday, friends! May your weekend be fully present in God, abundant in life-giving in relationships, and you find yourself fully refreshed. Much love!
