Hey Y’all! On May 9th, I took a trip to Charlottesville, where my grandparents, aunt/uncle/& cousin live. I have many memories as a young girl coming to visit for weeks at a time. Growing up, nearly every Thanksgiving & Christmas have been spent here. It’s been awhile since I’ve been to visited, so I made the trek up!
The two days I spent there were laidback and relaxing. I spent sometime hanging out with the sheep, taking pictures of stunning garden flowers from my Papaws landscape, visiting with my aunt, watching dancing with the stars with my Memaw, and stealing a much needed afternoon nap on their big comfy couch.
There were great conversations throughout the days & night, as well as some delicious homemade meals (crab-cakes, yes/please/thankyou!)
Not only did I leave the farm with a few new recipes from my grandmother, I came away with even more love and appreciation for my family in Charlottesville. They are some precious people.
Aren’t these furry friends precious?!
Sweet…so so sweet!
It was a great visit indeed, and I am already planning my next! Also, I can’t wait to share some of my adventures from California soon. I’ve missed you bloggies the past few weeks. Much love. xoxo.
